Best practice

A checklist that will help you get the best of your campaigns

In this post we will cover a few basic practices to help you get the best of your campaigns.

1. Use a direct URL to your website or offer.

Try to avoid link shorteners or URL redirect services.

URL shorteners act as a proxy and create an additional stop on the visitor's way to your URL, causing natural drop in the percentage of visitors that successfully land on your website.

Best practice is to send visitors straight to https://your-website-address.com
and not to https://shorter.url/rWEtr43F, which will then redirect to https://your-website-address.com.

2. Use the right HTTP protocol.

If your website has an SSL certificate and your URL starts with https://, make sure your submitted URL starts with https:// as well.

Use HTTPS only if supported by your website or domain, do not use if not supported as it may lead to a browser generated security warning for all visitors.

3. Make sure your server can handle mass traffic.

Not all web servers were created equal and you need to make sure that your website can receive hundreds and even thousands of requests per minute without crashing. Your website performance depends on the hardware you use (CPU, memory, hard drive) and the code architecture of your website.

We recommend testing your website's ability to serve many simultanious requests using Loader.io, you can get a free test there.

4. Use a reliable tracking system.

A reliable tracking system such as Google Analytics will help you monitor the traffic you are receiving and provide a clear picture of how visitors interact with your website.

5. Provide engaging content.

You get only one chance to make a good impression and capture your visitor's attention!

Different website or landing pages can achieve different results and opt-in rates, therefore, a selection of design and content plays a leading role in the potential success of your campaigns.

6. Embed our conversion pixel on your website.

Conversion pixel is used in order to optimize the traffic that is being sent to your URL. It is done by tracking successful actions made by our visitors on your website.

Please refer to Embed the pixel post for a more detailed explanation.
